A guide to the symbols on your garment label, so you always know how to treat it correctly.

Washing

  • Machine wash coldWash at or below 30°C on a normal cycle.
  • Machine wash warmWash at or below 40°C on a normal cycle.
  • Hand wash onlyWash by hand in cold or lukewarm water.
  • Gentle wash coldWash at or below 30°C on a mild cycle.
  • Delicate wash warmWash at or below 40°C on delicate cycle.

Drying

  • Tumble dry lowDry on a low heat setting.
  • Do not tumble dryAvoid the tumble dryer completely.

Ironing & dry cleaning

  • Low heat ironIron on a low setting, ideally with a cloth barrier.
  • Medium heat ironIron on a medium setting.
  • Dry cleanProfessional cleaning with tetrachloroethene
  • Do not dry cleanAvoid dry cleaning solvents entirely.
  • Do not ironAvoid ironing and direct heat
  • Gentle dry cleanProfessional cleaning with tetrachloroethene - mild process
